Chairs Bruno de Carvalho Carioquinha Chair The relaxed elegance of the Carioca lifestyle is embodied in this chair. We achieved structural lightness in this product by using aluminum covered in double-layered fabric and foam, along with casters. Comfort is provided by the shape and the composition of soft foams applied in different densities—all calendered, ensuring the necessary resilience of the material. To finish, the foams are embraced with a layer of down feathers, enhancing the comfort, feel, and drape of the fabric. The finish is completed with a removable linen cover, providing a visual lightness that reinforces the Carioca spirit. A highlight is the detail in cast brass, made using a sand mold and handcrafted by designer Bruno de Carvalho. Besides providing an outdoor space for socializing, it is also always highly praised by everyone who visits the Studio. We wanted to create a special version of the table, and during a trip to Portugal, we came across the incredible epic murals at São Bento Railway Station and the traditional Viúva Lamego tile factory, which has been in operation since 1849.
