A wooden disc with veins arranged radially features a deliberate and strategic cut to reveal its metallic support structure. In the Lena tables, the cantilevered tops stem from the designer's intention to apply elements from his architectural background — in this case, the concept of structural balance — into his own pieces. Also available with a glass top.
