Like architecture, the Sylvia bar is elevated on pilotis that start from the ground, pass through the semi-transparent volume, and extend beyond the roof, supporting a cut slab. The wooden box is surrounded by a kind of woven skin made of silk straw, allowing a view through it. At the top, the crown of the piece serves as a support for bottles. "The design is certainly a result of what I learned during my academic training, in a school strongly influenced by modernism. In Sylvia, I envision the lines of a house I would certainly design if I worked as an architect," adds the designer. The bar unfolds into a collection also composed of a sideboard and home unit.
